To keep it simple, just do your dailies and collect your commissions during double powder. You can get 4k heart of the mountain experience every day this way, which means 19 days. To do the 4 commissions efficiently, it takes roughly 15 minutes, which means that hotm5 can take a minimum of 5 hours (not bad lol). Enjoy!

I have the cheapest titanium drill with maxed peak of the mountain. Rn, my hotm is a snaking path going through mining speed boost, efficient miner and ending at the right side hotm 5 perk which gives extra powder near fallen stars.

My strategy is to just mine close to fallen stars as much as possible during 2x powder. I can get up to 14-18 mithril powder from single gray mithril blocks. The prismarine and blue blocks don't give that much more powder because all of the perks and the fallen star itself add mithril powder to each block, 2x event is the only real multiplier. I have nearly reached mining cap for gray mithril (it's a bit over 2000) and with mining speed boost, I'm close to mining cap for blue mithril too at almost 8000 speed. When the fallen star vanishes, I just lobby hop and try to find another one.

This way I gain mithril powder around as fast as doing comissions with daily bonus (hotm 5 quadruples powder for comissions). As an active method, this is really only beaten by powder ghasts, which relies even more on luck to find when lobby hopping. Of course I could afk goblins but I don't wanna do that.
