being a good teammate is the MOST IMPORTANT THING for literally any sport you can grieve your failures, but ALWAYS support your teammates success too.

my cheer coach chose her daughter and her friends for the team! I even looked at score sheets and had a higher score thank half the girls..
edit: the cheer girls are half way through their season and all of them hate it. I'm playing basketball now happily. ❤❤

Thank you so much for this video!!! You are so talented and this really helped me because I have middle school cheer tryouts SOON and this made me feel much better!

honestly even as a dancer I feel like this helped, i’m trying to score high enough to get a solo this year so maybe by applying these tips I can get one 😍

As someone who has never done cheer and who does not plan on doing cheer or gymnastics, this video was very helpful.

This is so helpful, I will definitely use this for my cheer leading tryouts next week.

Personally I think I did horribly at dance team try outs but I was smiling the whole time and cheering on my try out partner, and I got in! ❤❤

As a 6th grader preparing for cheer tryouts for middle school this helped so much. I’m not very flexible and can’t tricks like this so I’m hoping that my confidence and skills on regular cheer motions will help me get in (and yes I am very scared)

This is definitely true and helpful I made my cheer team with no previous experience my first year (as a 6th grader) and this is all helpful. Also another thing is if you can make friends with the coaches bc that def helps you out in my opinion. Also YOU HAVE TO PREACTICE it really helps. Also just believe in your self 😝😜🥰

I’m sooo grateful this popped up on fyp. I have cheer tryouts in a few weeks and I lost some of my flexibility and I needed something to help me prepare and get ready to practice for it 😆

Please throw all the skill you have even if it’s inconsistent! This can show the coach that you have room for improvement or show them that you have a high possibility to get the skill later on that they can put in the routine! I’ve been a cheerleader for 7 years and they want to see all your skills even if you they aren’t good, your also showing that your willing to try things you aren’t comfortable with yet.

this was actually super useful. i was shaking in my boots for my dance tryouts a few weeks ago and this would’ve helped so much (i looked so mad the entire time bc i was focused. i still made it though! 🎉)

Im a varsity cheerleader and one thing is that, depending on the team, it might not matter as much if you have certain skills or experience under your belt (past stunting, tumbling, dancing, etc..), attitude is really the most important part. I got in with no prior stunting or tumbling experience, i just tried to have good energy and attitude! :)
