apparently youtube has been living under a rock, just looked into this youtube red and says ad free (adblock) offline videos (youtube downloader) switch apps and keep playing (again youtube downloader) like anyone is gonna play $10 a month for stuff they can get for free

I don't mind ads. Honestly when there are co-labs or SotF from more than one of you guys I will either watch the other perspective, or watch the beginning and end for something different then play it from the start muted while I watch something else.

When a subscription fee is added to something that was free it runs the risk of dividing people into 2 groups. When people on the Internet fall into 2 different camps tensions rise and drama follows. I just don't see many positives that can come from it. I hope it works out Z, and you get paid better for doing what you do from it, but I'm skeptical man.

I'm not paying chicken scratch for this but it's not just about the ads. YouTube red allows you to download videos. So a music video or a funny vid that never gets old you can now download. That's what I think the main point is

Why is everyone complaining don't buy it u can still watch YouTube without the subscription but u will get ads we get them atm anyway so don't complain live with a few ads

I don't think people are gonna pay a cent (unless you are rich and you have extra money), so ads will stay and youtubers should not be worried!

If you jailbreak your device you can install a tweak named youtube++ and you can download videos to view offline. You basically cut the YouTube Red price in half for free.

From the little bit I've read about it, it looks like its simply an option for viewers to skip ads that play before/throughout the video. Doesn't affect viewers that much at all. BUT I know that a portion of the revenue that youtubers get come from ads. But ya....I think things will be alright fer ya Z.

I'm on a free trial but I like it you can upload videos and watch them off-line. So if the internet goes out for a short period or something you can watch some movies or documentaries. I may buy. Not sure

The main thing I is that I want to still be able to support you guys for making the amazing content I love to watch. So, whatever they introduce, I don't want it to decrease the monetary support y'all get.

This is actually the first I'm hearing about this; but I'm not giving YT any money, I'm happy to watch ads and support my favorite content creators that way
