The 10 Years/10 Books Tag [Original]

Показать описание
This is the 10 Years/10 Books Tag, where you're asked to talk about the best book you read each year from 2010 to 2019. The easiest way to figure this out is to go to your Goodreads account and filter your Read Books by date. If your Goodreads doesn't go back all the way to 2010, just take educated guesses (like I did with 2010/2011). If it's not exactly accurate, who cares. Just have fun with it!

If there's a similar tag out there, I don't mean to step on anyone's toes. I simply don't stay up to date on these things :P

Books mentioned:
- The Book of Small Things by John Connelly
- The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
- Skippy Dies by Paul Murray
- River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay
- Euphoria by Lily King
- All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews
- Black Swan Green by David Mitchell
- A Working Theory of Love by Scott Hutchins
- Twin Studies by Keith Maillard
- Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

This is such a fun idea! I just did mine and seeing the patterns throughout my reading history was really interesting.

This is a great idea for a tag. It would be interesting to see a book from every year of someone’s life as a reader.

I’m so sorry you had a rough time of it with your father😢💔All the pain you experienced has produced a lovely man who is you👏👏👏👏👏Your fan from North Dakota

I had forgotten all about The Book of Lost Things, but I read that at around the same time and really enjoyed it. And man, I loved Skippy Dies and I wish more people knew about it! Great video, per usual. 😊

This tag made me mad at myself for not recording my books until like 2017 lol. I love watching people look back on their reading. It’s always interesting to see what books mean to people years after the experience of reading them.

I love Euphoria and All My Puny Sorrows! Both of them are just brilliant. I need to read more Guy Gavriel Kay (I tried Tigana, and didn’t like it but really only because it included a plot point that always makes me DNF a fantasy book, but I’m determined to read his other books). Can you read River of Stars without reading Under Heaven?

Lovely tag! Always glad to see a video from you in my feed. Happy reading 😊😊

Ooooh this is FUN. There will be a lot of guessing on the first half of my list - I did not have goodreads at 14 years old😅 But I will see what I can do. Thank you for the tag, Rick. Really enjoyed this x

I love The Lover's Dictionary and All My Puny Sorrows. The others sound very me as well. Thanks for the tag, Rick, I'm really excited to do this video, even if I have very little idea of what I read in 2010-2011

I've had The Book of Lost Things sitting on my shelf for years and years and this just inspired me to finally pick it up!

I was trying to see if there was a pattern in your top books through the decade but I couldn't really tell, except that they are moving?
Really cool idea,  I just made my first video especially for this tag :)

Hello Rick, have you ever done a video recommending books for people who aren't generally into their respective genres/themes/styles etc? Your reading seems a lot more diverse than mine and I'd like to know your take on where to begin with eg fantasy, crime, philosophical/political novels, short stories... Maybe if you're stuck for a topic one day you can help me out :-D
