Russia may not be involved with any coup in west Africa, but they just feel loving Russia because has never colonized Africa and feel they are good friends.

Soviet-Union supported African Nations for gaining independence: 
1) At the United Nations by supporting the idea of independance of any country in the world;
2) By training and arming African Countries for fighting colonial powers.
Unfortunately, only few African nations got real independance so far.
Now, Russia, like Soviet Union, is helping those Countries in neo-colonialism, to have real independance and to become real Russian partners in the business.

For one, on neutral territory of Russia a platform was provided for African countries to voice their concerns, and at this Russia-Africa conference a clarion call was made by president of Burkina-Faso which found resonance all over Africa. Also Aficans see Russia taking on the whole collective west and not losing, thereby giving heart to them to do the same. So Russian flag is like a banner to them around which they can rally, like the way LGBTQ+ banner used to rally the collective west.

African brothers, be strong, whole normal and peaceful world (only excluding west colonialist governments, which are a negligible part compared to world ) are with you. You really deserve freedom, and we in Serbia knows what a bloody price we payed for centuries for it unfortunately (milions of lifes). In order to have stable ' progress in African countries a stable system of military alliance is necessary. Russia is providing it using the Wagner PMC. In contrast Russia is fixing its grip on energy resources.
