I have a Q2U mic hooked up to a sound board with an XLR cable but I want to hear how I sound without have to record and play it back to listen. I’ve plugged headphones into the bottom of the mic but couldn’t hear myself. Is there something I’m missing or any recommendations?

Simply plugging it into the computer wont record the audio correct? how would you record the audio using the computer so i can use for videos? is there an app you recommend?
