I highly recommend the TV show for Pachinko. They expanded on the story in such a great way. And the Korean and Japanese language added a lot. Best adaptation I've seen in a long time!

Hi Emily, for more books with 'cozy fantasy' themes, idk how you'll find the writing tho, are Japanese fantasy novels, that was the way I knew it was a whole genre, and some of them are not gems and maybe questionable in certain topics, but it would help you to identify what you like in that genre of fantasy, plus they read super fast as they are short and light. Some examples (in english) on top of my head are: Tearmoon Empire, Ascendance of a Bookworm, The Alchemist Who Survived Now Dreams of a Quiet City Life, Dahlia in Bloom, and The Great Cleric :)

YES BOOK OF THE UNNAMED MIDWIFE!! THIS SERIES NEEDS MORE ATTENTION!! I absolutely adore Meg Elison. There are three books in the series, they're all pretty great, there aren't any companion novels

I loved legend and lattes! On Goodreads there is a whole category you can check out, but tbf I don’t agree with all of them. Another book I genuinely enjoyed was a wizard’s guide to defensive baking. Its more of a middle grade/YA novel but it was very cute.

Almost done listening to Into the Drowning Deep and loving it! The authors creative writing has put me right in the middle of the horror. Sometimes I swear I can smell the salty ocean air!

I'm so glad that I decided not to read Upgrade. I have just started reading Children of Ruin and loving it so far. The best book I read in July was The Children of time. I am so happy you enjoyed Legends and Lattes.
