How times have changed. As a little kid in the 1960s, i would walk the half-mile or so to the local corner many mornings during the summer months to buy packs of gum, balloons, gumballs, pretzels, balsa wood airplanes, paper kites, and other goodies. I loved every $1 bill and any coin (including pennies!) that I could get my hands on. The few $2 dollar bills that I saw had the red seals (of course) and were stashed by the adults for themselves because they were "special." Lol. To this day, I still have spot in my heart for the $2 bill.

I've always been aware of the bill, but rarely if ever used it or even saw it in the wild. Thank you for the interesting videos! After watching a big chunk of them, I got a strap of 2's at my local bank (just as easy and normal as you present it as) and have been buying meals with them. You were absolutely right. Every single time, it's a conversation starter and ends up being a really cool interaction with someone I would never have talked to for more then 5 seconds otherwise. Easily 90% of the time, the cashier will comment that they thought they were rare and/or out of production. Everyone seems shocked that I have so many, and always ask how I got them all. I of course give a smile and tell them "at the bank. Just ask the teller for them" and they're always surprised!

As a note to the video above, I frequently find my total coming to an odd number. $7.85 for example. Something I hadn't really noticed before. Just count em out 2, 4, 6, 8 and done! Very useful!

I strongly agree with your assertions! I really wish people would circulate the $2 bill more. I would be tickled if I received on in change. But I guess you have to use cash for that to happen and I use credit cards mostly. The $2 bill is so beautiful. And the number 2 brings back childhood memories in ways 1 doesn't. For instance, 2 is shaped like a swan and I loved seeing swans on the water.

I order two stacks of $2.00 bills every month, $400.00 normally I spend them anywhere I spend cash. Love the looks I get when you hand them over, Sometimes the cashier will say are you sure you want to spend these? yep, sure do...another great $2.00 video!
