$1500 minimum for a decent laptop with 16gb ram is insane

I noticed there isn't a chapter for battery life. Battery life is good for those who use gaming laptops off the charger for office use or college students taking notes.

Lenovo is really nailing that balance with solid build quality while keeping the weight manageable. But when you throw in something like the ASUS Zephyrus G14 with its CNC-milled aluminum body, it feels like these machines are less about compromise and more about making high-performance gaming more practical on the go. What intrigues me most is the thought of where gaming laptops will go from here—is smaller always going to be better, or are we losing something?

Asus g14 once they are about to upgrade to next year usually go on sale for $999, I got mine 2023 model with upgradable Ram and rtx 4060 for that price and boy I don´t regret it, I´m the happiest man alive with my laptop

I bought an ROG Zephyrus G14 with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for $1250. I'm a big fan of it, even with the quirks. The screen and build quality is incredible. The specs are solid, with the Ryzen 9 8945HS and an RTX 4060. The battery life is fine for a gaming laptop, but not incredible. Overall, it's a good buy for $1300.

It seems like we had the same idea, at the exact same time :D
Great minds think alike, I would say!

These 2024 14" models are not selling for good reason. Not the right time or price to consider them. If you must have a gaming laptop, a near identical 2023 16" with 4070 can be easily had for $1K USD. Else, wait for next year's models.

I bought the Legion about 6 or more months ago and have been very happy with it. I needed something portable (it was replacing a 2012 MacBook Air), but also something that could replace my old desktop gaming PC and it ticks all the boxes. It had a problem with the graphics but Lenovo sent a guy out to my house, he replaced the mainboard and it fixed the issue, so I am happy with the backup as well. As mentioned the speakers are dogwater, really bad, so headphones or external speakers are a must. It also gets super loud when under load, but they probably all do. The display is super nice, never had an OLED before and it's lovely. BTW, I'm pretty sure it is now discontinued, it certainly seems to be in my country.

I know you guys haven't reviewed it, but MSI Stealth 14 AI would be interesting to see in this comparison. They also have the Cyborg 14, which is probably the only budget 14" gaming laptop in the market right now

I would wait for the G14 to get the new HX370 processors, much like how the G16 had a surprise refresh.

It's about time 32gb ram becomes standard on laptops costing upwards of $1500

This is such a clear review. Thanks. Seems like TUF 14 punches well above it's weight.

I bought my Legion Slim 5 14" 6 months ago back when Lenovo had their easter sale, and I got it with a RTX 4060 and with 32GB ram for only 9950 Danish Kroner or a little under $1500 which was a steal compared to the Zephyrus G14 and Transcend 14 which cost around 1.5+ times more than the legion but with only 16GB RAM compared to 32GB xD

I bought the HP Omen Transcend 14 w/ 16gb and 4060 on sale at Best Buy back in late March. The keyboard is one of those love it or hate things. Personally, I really like it and it has the best feel of any laptop keyboard I've typed on. HP made a decision to use USB-C charging and that limits its performance relative to the competition, but I think it was a good compromise. I use a light, small Ugreen 140w charger and don't need a massive proprietary power brick. Also, when used with the Lossless Scaling app for upscaling and frame generation, this laptop turns into a gaming beast at 120 fps. Finally, the dark matte finish is a fingerprint magnet, but I ordered M2 Skins in carbon fiber finish. Has perfect fit, including cutout for the Omen logo, looks awesome, and totally fixed the fingerprint problem. I just wish it had a MUX switch, since iGPU only mode is so much quieter and better on battery than Hybrid mode. I reboot back and forth; it is annoying but not a deal breaker.

Asus zephyrus g14 clear winner tbh followed by razor blade 14, asus tuf, and acer helios

G14 has Ryzen r9, 32gb, nvidia 4050 rtx 90w, oled display with 3k, 1.5kg weight, super slim and sleek design amazing keyboard, best speaker among all the window laptop, extremely good life and price at 2.2k for this model....you literally get all department ...no regrets ....just get the 4050 90w if you can get your hand on it with the 32gb ( 32gb a must since you cant upgrade)

Bro ....how do you put oled as A tier ...like literally the display on zephyrus is the main selling point 😂

lov..g
