I upgraded from a G2 VR to Tobi and its next level, virtually no setting up, works without fault on my larger 55inch OLED tv, my smaller 42 OLED and my 42 inch Ultrawide, in fact ive not needed to make any changes in app for games, you can i suppose yet i don't, VR is a stagnant tech, with constant angst, for every game, and needing third party apps to work, equally wireless headtracking is also inferior. Build quality is excellent and slimline, nothing gets damaged once installed as its all done through the software . Works out of the box, with virtually no setting up, your walked through the process, and with a few clicks your done. Its use is virtually transparent, in the sense you're not physically connected to anything, wear nothing, tobi just tracks your eyes, even with specs, as many have mentioned. The immersion level is everything you 'd expect and more, leaving you to concentrate on all those keybinds, Tobi is a well priced product, quality, performance, reliability and ease of use make it unmatched. FPS is one of its strengths, its not a blind man simulator like VR, its as natural as it gets. Ide trust Infinite, he is is passionate at what he does, and it shines through, success my friend.

Congrats on the sponsorship. I know it’s a good product, I have been using one myself for more than a year and would recommend it. Because I usually play VR games, the Tobi was almost necessary to play SC, lol. It’s hard to play in 2D if you’re used to VR. Cheers o7

A Tobii Eye Tracker 6 would be nice with more control on distance from monitor.

Looks so good to play with it! Can’t wait to have one. Too bad it is expensive in Brazil and I’m still a student lol. But I’ll get one as soon as I can!

I got a tobii about 6 months ago, personally i find the spacial awareness when flying and especially dogfighting is incredible - Although i disable it for onfoot as it really doesnt help (me). This and a streamdeck with supermacros installed made a huge difference.

one tip for landing. Try vector landing. Even better than being able to look down.

As for the curved monitor question, it works. The tobii comes with two types of mounts.

One of them is flat and you stick it to the bottom bezel of your monitor. This does not work with curved monitors

The other sticks to the underside of your monitor. This works for curved monitors. But beware. if you have an LG monitor, you will not be able to mount the tobii nice and in the middle, because LG monitors have a little hat in the middle underneath for navigating your monitor settings.

I use Beam Eye tracker for now, since it basically uses Open Track and your Web Cam to approximate Tobii. But I'd upgrade to Tobii in a second if I could afford it. I think I need to save up for some new sticks first though.

I have curved monitor (G7) and it works great

What kind of distance can it go up to? Does it have to be near enough right in front of you to track your eyes?

I wish CIG fix the Vr problem, can't even use my META quest without having a problem.

I own both TrackIR 5 and Tobii. TrackIR is superior when it comes to reliability in combat. Tobii tends to lose sync with rapid eye movements. If you decide to go with TrackIR 5, I recommend getting the pro clip for your headphones so you can use it in brighter environments. Tobii is better with the eye tracking for casual gaming, especially when looking at your MFDs.
However, TrackIR can be used at further lengths and it can track in the Z-Axis, meaning you can move your head forward and backwards in the cockpit to lean towards your MFDs.

Looks nice but 200 quid is a bit much just to look around a bit more

One big problem I don't see talked about in videos
Tobii expirence installation
Its only on Microsoft store, when you go to install it, it won't work.
In order to get it to even install at all youve first gotta
1 download the tobii driver from the tobii site (does not say anywhere about that on tobii expirence)
2 install the driver then restart your pc
3 then you can install tobii expirence it may fail the first tru but you have to keep trying

Why can't they just put tobii expirence and the driver into one installer package, that's NOT on the Microsoft store?
