What is Going On At AMG? C63 Update?

In this video, I will go over what is going on right now at AMG including a new V8 for a potential CLE63 and a New C63 in response to its controversial 4-cylinder layout. I also discuss the future of the v8 in AMG's lineup and the potential next E63. #amg

If the CLE is going to be the first model released with AMG's new V8, then that would put it right in line historically with the 2006 CLK63 AMG Coupe being debuted with AMG's first 100% in-house made V8, the M156 6.3(6.2L) aluminum DOHC N/A masterpiece. It would be such a sweet milestone and also, one that resonates with AMG fans/owners/customers. I think AMG's biggest problem actually isn't even a problem at all, it's the M177 V8 that is currently being used. That engine is so dang good, it's going to take a REALLY strong effort by AMG to make something even better. I wish Mercedes would go back to making things out of metals and durable materials designed to last forever. If Mercedes and AMG decided to make cars like they did 50 years ago, built to be bulletproof, then they would outsell the entire market. The only thing that would make that CLE63 even better would be to go pillarless ;)

I purchased five new AMGs between 2007 and 2015, and I loved them all. However, the new AMGs are nothing like what they used to be. I don’t want a hybrid, I don’t want quiet exhaust and I couldn’t care less about fuel economy. I want a big V8 that sounds crazy and makes ass loads of power. So that’s why I now have a CT5-V Blackwing.

I didn’t realise how much AMG pushed me to the M3 with this W206 C63. Heartbreaking because I consider myself a diehard AMG fan but they completely missed the mark with the 4 pot.

Not too mad about the 6 cylinder but that weight still has to come down a bit

Honestly... the boss at Mercedes, Ole, is the worst theyv had... Zetsche and Schrempp were much better and approved so many great cars and ideas during their time. Post 2019 cars have all been rubbish. Ole is a woke bozo who doesnt understand what AMG owners want... Just like in F1, we live for the sound and experience... How hard is that to understand.

I haven't been able to let go of my 2013 w204 C63. Other cars come and go, but its just such a fun, charismatic car. Haven't seen anyone say that about the current one... even if they're defending it.

Why MB is insisting in 6 and 4 cyl engines in the AMG division?, gone are the times of the legendary M113 engines. I rather buy old generation MB V8 instead of the new ones. MB needs to rethink their strategy and comeback to the original concepts of AMG

Going Flatplane with the new V8 is going to be such a mistake, and shows AMG still doesn’t get it. The GT Black Series sounded horrible, people are going to do nothing but complain when they realize it sounds identical to the 4 cylinder. If you need to put speakers on the outside of the car to mimic the Crossplane sound, you messed up.

Not only did the current C63 not have a V8, but it also didn’t look special at all. Just look like a tame, sedate and placid c class.
Mercedes got it wrong across so many areas, not just the missing V8.

Mercedes in 70’s 80’s and early 90’s used to known for their silent and powerful V8’s
Now everyone is so obsessed with how loud they can make it and making sound like a hot rod. Years ago the wealthy bought these cars for their refinement and comfort not loud sound.

There has always been V8 C63 and before that the glorious C55 .

Just buy one of those and enjoy.

You don’t need the latest and greatest.

Live within your means.

Stop financing overpriced new AMG lol.

Buy only the AMG you can afford to pay cash for.
