What On Earth Is Going On At Bordeaux?

FC Girondins de Bordeaux won the Ligue 1 title as recently as 2009, and the following season, they beat both Bayern Munich and Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

Now they sit bottom of the Ligue 1 table, having entered administration last season, and are in real danger of danger of dropping down into Ligue 2.

In this documentary, HITC Sevens takes a closer look at Bordeaux, exploring how their downfall came about and where it all went wrong for one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in France.

I remember the days of Gourcuff lighting it up in Bordeaux and seemingly being the future of French football as the team won the title and was so very close to do it two years in a row, at a time where Ligue 1 was exciting to follow

Im american and the only European Football game ive ever been to was in Bordeaux a couple years back in the Europa League, unreal stadium with the standard crazy french ultras. Actually watched malcom play before his barca transfer and he looked absolutely insane
