AOPA Live This Week - December 2, 2021

Two classic aquatic twins, each meticulously restored, showed up ready to race in our fly-off pitting a Grumman G–44 Widgeon against a Piaggio P.136 Gull in a battle for bragging rights. You may have seen panels packed with bells and whistles, but have you seen a Cessna Skylane sporting just about everything in Garmin's catalog? Pilots from across the Southwest joined the thirty-seventh Navajo Nation Christmas Airlift, delivering 12,000 pounds of blankets, clothing, and supplies to a remote region that struggled with poverty even before the coronavirus pandemic made matters worse.

Thanks AOPA for highlighting the change in International Travel rules update. We are coming from the U.K. to the USA next week and had arranged our COVID-19 tests according to the old rules. We now have time to rearrange out tests.

Nice panel in the 182 am always amused that the price to do the upgrade is never talked about.

Loved this Piaggio. . Saw one auctioned in Auburn Indiana maybe 20 years ago.
Heard it was sold to museum in Minnesota.
Is this the same one ?
Can be many left.

I'm glad to see AOPA continuing to be the top lobbyists for aviation. They have always been a great advocate in the industry and GA. With that being said, you do seriously need to get rid of Warren D. Morningstar as the EP of aopa live. Visibly mouthing the other host's lines and presenting a high-school video production class from the 90's quality does not draw people in. Get someone new to revamp aopa live to draw in a new generation and come off more professional and contemporary.

I just watched Juan Brown Blancolirio video about changing the oil in his 310. He posted today a couple hours before AOPA and he's got 18K views already in just a few hours and your video has less than 900. Most aviation you tubers consistently get 10's if not 100's of thousands of views. AOPA spends huge $$$ producing weekly and most videos are dull at best (sorry) with low #'s. Kinda seems like this $ could be allocated elsewhere.
