I was dubious at first. I’m not a gadget guy. I love my Fitbit and I’m fascinated by the sleep and resting heart rate graphs. You can see the improvement in fitness. This is a great motivator.

Went ahead upgraded from the Charge 3 to the Versa 2 -- LOVE it! It even warned me that I might have A-fib. Got checked out by a cardiologist and I'm on medication. It may have saved my life!

I was a huge fitbit fan. Unfortunately, there are a few things people should consider before purchasing it. I owned the fitbit charge 2, and I went through three replacements. I bought one and the glue that held the fitbit together melted. FItbit was nice enough to send me a replacement but the replacement had battery problems. They sent another replacement and it worked for three months until the battery gave out. I gave fitbit another try and bought the fitbit Ionic. It was amazing however, the battery was damaged after one year. I contacted fitbit and they said it was beyond the warranty. My wife also had an ionic and the battery was an issue. we have done research and it appears it is a common issue.
I am not trying to sway your opinion but you should do your research before buying.
GREAT Video. I'm leaning toward apple watch 5.

Made one really bad point. Fitness trackers are made for fitness tracking and smartwatches are not specifically designed for fitness tracking at all but it’s an added perk to many of them, including Apple Watch. Health features are more of a perk on Apple Watch over fitness tracking as a whole. Having the heart rate through the day, dB Meter, ECG, Air Quality, etc is all health based but not fitness based. Fitness trackers have a history of much longer battery life but also a lot fewer features and they key in on fitness solely. Usually no or few third party apps, limited connection to notifications, lower quality displays, etc. Most people wanting fitness trackers go for Garmin, Fitbit, Polar, etc. Apple Watch users primarily want them for the tech features, calls, texts, complications, etc. There is some crossover but most runners and fitness focused people will stay away from Apple Watch. Smartwatches definitely are not primarily fitness trackers so it’s really out of line to make that a primary focus in comparison because that’s really the only comparison to justify the video solely. Just because they both go on the wrist and tell time doesn’t mean they are the same category at all. It’s like trying to say Sunglasses and Google Glass are the same thing and need compared or comparing fútbol and American football just because they share a similar name.

The Apple Watch with LTE costs ~$100 more than without. Did you mention that? I chose the Versa 2 for the much lower cost and much, much better battery life.

First time I was making a decision between Versa and Apple watch - i chose Versa - because battery life and i wanted an activity tracker... I did love my Versa, but the battery never lasted 5 days. I think i got like 3.5 days first 3 months, and then i was getting 1.5 day, and after 6 months 1 day, and then it wouldnt last whole day, and after 1 year and 3 months it simply died! After i took of charger, it was hot, and wouldnt turn on! Thank Good i had extended warranty. Of course, Versa was unrepairable, and i got my 249.00 back! Apple Watch 5 came out few days later and i got it! I loooove it and i would NOT go back to Fitbit!

The battery life on the apple watch kills it for me because I have sleep apnea and want to track my sleep without having to charge my watch all the time. Going with the fitbit.

I bought my Apple Watch 3 about a month ago and I love it. I’m a runner and not taking my phone but still being able to stream music to my AirPods without my phone is a game changer. So yeah. Apple Watch is better and Apple lowered its price and with the amazon price match at target, I bought mine for 169

Loved your comparison, why would anyone give a thumbs down, it’s not possible you could have been more fair. Note to Apple. Just how you made the iPod work with windows, do the same with the watch to android. You would sell about 100 million more watches. PS I’m still rocking Apple Watch V 1 and loving it
