After John Cena defends the WWE Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble against Logan Paul, he has a new challenge in the form of Ashante “Thee” Adonis. Adonis, a member of the SmackDown roster, had won the Royal Rumble, but instead of waiting until WrestleMania to have his once in a lifetime opportunity to vie for the WWE Undisputed Championship, Adonis wants to challenge Cena at Elimination Chamber for the top championship in the business. Cena would have reservations, not wanting Adonis to blow this opportunity should he lose, but the latter is insistent on going after the WWE Undisputed Championship at Elimination Chamber.
