Think about it… if you start making changes when life feels hard, you’ll be unstoppable when life is smooth sailing.
And contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t take drastic changes to start losing weight.
When I started my 100 pound weight loss journey, it was actually the small things that I was able to do consistently that made the biggest difference.
Being more mindful about when I was hungry or full.
Drinking more water.
Making sure I was eating a veggie with all of my meals.
Getting in more daily steps.
The biggest difference was when I changed my thinking…
Shifting my focus from “all-or-nothing” and no longer being perfect to just working on being incrementally better every day and every week.
I didn’t lose the weight in a week, or a month, it took me right around 16 months to lose 100 pounds.
And how I was able to stay consistent for an entire 16 months while I was losing the weight…I STOPPED DIETING.
I mean I had never stuck to a diet for more than a few months let alone over a year so I knew another diet was just setting me up to fail.
I focused on changing my lifestyle and habits instead. Nothing drastic - just small changes until I felt ready for more.
