I snapped my belt this morning, hitting a rock with the scarifier attachment. Quick to the point video, thank you! Subscribed.

Thank you dominator, while I did not watch for the instructions because you know those are instructions. I did learn that it could be done and I even used your Amazon link to buy the belt. You're awesome! Thank you very much

Dude, thanks so much for this video. I bought a used scarifier and it worked fine for about 10 min then died. Your video is exactly what I needed.. thanks!

Thank you so much for this video! Mine broke last year while just aerating some dirt. Didn’t realize that the fix was simple as a belt. I’m sure I saved more time with this simple repair than trying to deal with their warranty department. They really need to make these more user serviceable. #RightToRepair

Thank you for the easy-to-follow directions. Got mine open and found the belt was fine but the gear attached to the motor end shattered into multiple pieces. luckily just under two years and it looks like they will cover it under the warranty

Great video, thanks for posting. My only addition would be to use a silicon sealant or similar to fix the motor cables in place and ensure they don't move from their location (at 11 minutes on the video) once the cover is back in place. The fan could cut them in seconds if they move. When I dismantled mine, the manufacturer had used silicon sealant when assembling at the factory.

Thanks for posting this, it's exactly what I needed. I was worried that I might break something if I tried to cave-man the thing apart. Was fiddling with the cover for a good ten minutes before I figured out there was another screw under the sticker!

Great video man. I didn't know what happened when mine stopped working, but after seeing your video I checked and sure enough that's what it was. Thanks

Nice job Clint. Easy peasy for me to do. But then again I've been a service technician for 25 years. Fixing postage machines and paper folders.

Great vid. It saved me a lot of guesswork on how to service my broken machine.
My problem was not a broken belt. There is a small metal roll pin inside the top belt pulley that broke.
Remove the 1/2" nut-->slide the bearing and lock washer off-->Slide the top pulley off-->Knock out the broken metal pin with a punch
It turns out that little shear pin is the same dia. as a roofing nail. So I cut one down to size and as new!!!

Thanks a lot my guy. My tines underneath are just barely spinning . And when it touches the ground it stops spinning completely even though the motor is running perfectly. This all started yesterday right in the middle of my renovation. Hopefully this will fix it.
Great clarity, great instructions.

Thanks for the thorough video. I've had my sunjoe for going on 5 years now, no problem. Been doing a big reno on my yard for fall and didn't realize the amount of mud that built up under and around the cylinder. I let the machine sit for a day and that mud hardened. Ran the machine for about 10 feet and suddenly I hear the motor running but no scarifying. The dried mud on the sidewalls must have burned up or snapped the belt. I've run the machine hard over the years and it's been a champ. Be sure to clean out the machine after heavy use.
