After watching about 6 videos, I found this one and it worked! It actually started on the second slam just like the video.

I'll be damned if this didn't work for me too. Glad I saw this. Only the second time I used this thing and it did this. I even sprayed the treatment that sta-bil makes for pwashers. You saved me from destroying this thing with a 5lb sledge.

Holy crap I can’t believe this worked for me also. I ran it for 15 minutes and afterward removed all hoses and ran it another 5 secs to get most the water out of the system. It has been running fine since.

There's a pressure microswitch inside that gets gunked up or corroded. Disassembly and cleaning fixes it.

i have this exact same problem but after it starts working again as you release the trigger you have to slam it again to get it to "work"...

Worked for me. Wasted time with other suggestions. This did the trick but I had to slam it every time to run. Will clean out the hoses & connectors in the spring.
