This isn't even a question worth answering but.... If an Alien race has mastered faster than light travel and able to span such distances to get here, their technology would be so far beyond ours that we would present about as much of a challenge as ants attacking human.

YES if we act wisely and kindly accept each other's differences we'd survive this sort of stuff. I don't picture a invasion myself due to studying the word's history, instead I picture a reunion or a new beginning that has unexpected cooperation.
