Nice concise description of how cheaper bags differ from more expensive ones. Thanks!

I became a big fan of Decathlon Stuff.
its kind of the IKEA of Outdoor equipment. Not the fanciest of materials and craftmanship but it holds up really well.
recently crossed 60.000m of elevation with my 70+10 Forclaz and I still like it!
Now I just ordered this one for day to day use...
thanks for the review!

I have this backpack and took it to a 5 day trip in Bali and can say that it has held up really well. When I first got the backpack, I was a bit surprised as to how light it was and how "cheap" feeling the fabric was. Though after using it for a couple of days I found that it can pack a lot of stuff and the material is sturdy enough to withstand packing it to the full. I also came to love how lightweight it is. The water bottle pockets are great -- it can fit a 40oz water bottle since it's stretchable. The back and backstrap padding was great and felt really comfortable too. Overall, I love the backpack especially since I only got it for about $40. I would probably be using it again to an Australia trip I have next month.

Excellent job! One of the best reviews I've seen.

I have the roll top version, and am looking for a clamshell alternative. What I would say, is the 'secret' pocket in the water bottle pocket, I've been using for my passport. You can access it whilst the bag is on your back and has become one of my favourite features.

I've been using this backpack, both the 23L and 32L side by side for more than 7 months now mostly for office work and travelling. The fabric and build material is great, strong and durable especially compared to the amount of stuff I carry every day. It is the best backpack compared to others at this price range.

Dear the best travel bag reviewer on YouTube, ...
I would LOVE to see you review the Thule Aion 40L travel backpack. I know you did a trip to Argentina with the 28l version, which is a great personal item, but for some reason there seems to be essentially NOTHING on the 40L on Youtube! I honestly think it could rival some of the big dogs in the one-bag travel world, the dimensions, materials, weight, and clamshell main compartment, all at a reasonable price compared to others like Aer, Peak Design, Cotopaxi etc..

this is one of the great back pack choices and the price is 👍!

I prefer the "Quechua NH500 30L" version over this one. It fits the hand luggage ("small bag") sizer in EU low cost airlines like Ryanair.

Just to clarify, it uses SBS zippers which is a pretty reputable company. Not as premium as YKK but still reliable

There is a phone pocket on the shoulder strap on the same side as the battery pack pocket.

Hey, I love your videos and the way you explain things. Could you recommend a bag like this but with better materials? I've been looking for something exactly with that amount of pockets, but prettier.

Great review. This inspired me to buy the bag. Unfortunately Decathlon removed some features in a newer version of this bag and I cannot find the old version for sale. Do you have the bag you tested and would you be willing to sell it?

Great video! I would love to see a comparison between this and the 32L rolltop. I have the rolltop and it lists similar dimensions on the website, but it looks slimmer. I measured 8” depth packed (not overpacked) and it fit under a Southwest seat and into the Frontier and Spirit sizers with minimal height squishing. I recommend the rolltop frequently as a personal item for airlines that aren’t too strict about sizing, but I only have the rolltop so it would be nice to see how they compare in real life.

Any chance of a review on the Decathlon Forclaz Travel 500 40L - seems to be a cheap cotopaxi knock off with some good initial reviews.

Does the bag fit into the wooden sizer you have if its under packed? I am trying to limit the number of bags I own and I am trying to take this aboard an airline with those dimensions. I think its really close (with a little squeezing). thoughts?

Witam! Mam pytanie? Czy to napewno jest model 32l? Pytam bo zakupiłem w Polsce plecak 32l i nie ma on zamykanej kieszeni na klucze 😢. Nie wiem teraz czy to tak ma być czy na Polskę trafia partia 2 kategorii

Can I ask for the way to wash this backpack?
