This champion is amazing to play if you're used to ADC and are going mid. You focus more on farm than roaming, scale up, kill everything at 3 items. You just need to get used to hitting Qs and be judicious in using W. One very useful laning tip is farming using auto+e, which will hit at the same time from your max auto range. Don't worry about the auto killing first, because E also refunds mana if the target dies while the E is in flight. For landing Qs, it's easiest when they're frozen autoing a minion. I honestly wouldn't recommend throwing it out too much unless they're autoing a minion due to early mana costs.
Edit: Since you're running teleport, you can start ring instead for AP and health, then pick up the tear when you hit 400g and TP back. Liandry's first is also perfectly viable if you want more damage than ROA, choose based on game.

In terms of lore, all the other feet-less characters put their boots on their head. Cassiopeia’s head is not suited for booting, so she cannot buy them.
