Probably one of the hardest counterpicks to Akali is Zeri. Her Q auto-attack can hit stealth but it is still a hard matchup if you can't survive.

Cassiopeia is one of my favorite champions. Like all the mages I play incorrectly, I like Lich Bane on her. She automatically weaves her basic attacks in even if you're mashing E, and the MS is a nice boost.
I wish they'd give her passive to everyone and remove boots from the game.
