Thank you my friends don't understand why I leave them and when I want a new plant I just pop one off put it in soil and I don't have to do seeds and they grow so fast I love using them to do more plants faster and to keep the growing quality and continuously have tomatoes

dang it!! Most EVERYONE said to take off suckers. It is so confusing. To me IT MAKES SENSE TO KEEP SUCKERS FOR MORE FRUIT. I DID NOT take off all, but I did ALOT of them! ugggg. Common sense! It was the MEN THAT SAID TO! I TOTALLY GET IT!! RRRR

Determinate tomatoes don't need all of that pruning at all, just the ones that would be low down on the stem.

Do you know what I tried? Well I will tell you! Instead of pinching off the suckers and tossing them in the compost bin. I pinch them off and root them. Then pot them up or plant them somewhere else in the garden. As the season draws to a close, I will save the pinched suckers to grow indoors until spring.

I prune indeterminate tomatoes and don't with determinate. Both tomatoes I prune all leaves up to the first fruit. Too many leaves will increase disease and pest issues. I always tell people "do you want to grow leaves or tomatoes?" 😂
