Choosing a good lion

Lionesses have to select a strong male lion to protect them and give them an excellent gene pool so that their cubs will be the best possible. As I have mentioned different males fight for this entitlement. There is only one vacant position to fill. The other males have no access to the females.

It is vitally important for the lion group that a good choice of male is made.

Unfortunately in humans most women choose inappropriately. Because of immaturity they are seduced by handsome men, who insist on sex after just a few dates. Of course the girls fall pregnant and often continue with the same man to procreate a family without bothering to establish a legal marriage contract.

In the world women offer their virginity far too easily to the man who says the words they so desperately want to hear: ‘I love you so much’. Emotions and a youthful libido take over and more kids follow, often without enough money to support them with food, education costs or beds or shoes on their feet.

Christian women are sadly untaught in how to select a spouse. So they use the world’s criteria.

‘Oh he’s so handsome’ or maybe ‘he’s such fun to be with’ or ‘he has a steady job’.

What very rarely gets considered is the verse that my wise wife chose before wanting me in her life. She like most women had made a disastrous choice. In order to protect herself from further pain & suffering she decided to put any future interested man (like me) through a simple test. Not a test of strength like lions, but a test of whether a man was a convert or a true son of God.

She knew from Romans that:
“All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” Rom. 8:14

Listen Christian sisters. You may be attracted to different Christian men that you know. How do you decide? The richest, the most handsome? Or the most mature who knows the voice of the Holy Spirit?

There are many converts . Young Christian men and women still in spiritual nappies. Their lives are messy! There is no order in their lives- in their health or in their finances.

Let God show you what a son of God should be like.
My wife’s choice of secret verses which she never spoke to anyone to avoid the devil hearing them were:

9 Two are better than one, because they have a good [more satisfying] reward for their labor;
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
11 Again, if two lie down together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone?
12 And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecc.4:9-12

She anounced this test, giving ma just & week to find it. There are 37,500 bible verses. Only by God’s Spirit could I know it. He told me in just a few minutes.

What is this 3 fold cord? If you have ever tried making a strong rope or even pigtails in your daughter’s hair, you need 3 strands.

2 strands would be 1 man & 1 woman.

There is little strength there! Once the honeymoon is over and the babies start arriving emotional love can quickly evaporate.

God and man and woman make the 3 strands of this union. Jesus referred to this when He taught on marriage:

Have you never read that He Who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined inseparably to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?
6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder (separate). Mat 19:5,6 AMPC

God wants to be involved in marriage choices. Abraham’s servant was sent on a mission to find a Godly wife for his son Isaac. It was too hard a task for logical reason.
He asked God to point out His choice. (Gen; 24: 10-20). Read the way in which God showed him Rebekah.

Solomon realised by experience : A faithful man is hard to find Prov 20:6

Conversely from a man’s point of view He also observed:
Who can find a virtuous woman. Her price is far above rubies or pearls ? Prov. 31 10

So who to choose?

The Passion Bible speaks of this special woman as being “known for her extravagant
Generosity and how she always reaches out her hands to those in need,”
Prov . 31:20

So lady lionesses listen to Solomon in order to find your special man
“What is desired in a man and what makes him attractive is loyalty and kindness and his glory and delight are shown in his giving”. Prov. 19:22

You can of course choose a secret bible verse if you want to. That’s what worked for Véronique, but we don’t make it into a doctrine.

Prayer: Father God I trust You to bring me a good husband. My desire is for a faithful and loyal man, who will not cheat on me but someone who is kind and is known for his compassion to the poor. I leave the choice of this son of God to You Father.Please bring him into my life in Jesus’ Name.
