I plan to retire at the end of 2025 at 62 after 36 years in Telecom as a sales engineer. My wife will retire in May 2026 and she's loving life! But walking away from a good income stream and building the nest egg to living from the nest egg is a scary proposition couple with the alarming recession and CPI report

I am currently in my 50s and This is no time to tamper retirement savings. I want to max out my retirement contributions and I also have another $380k in a savings account that i want to invest in a non-retirement account. Where should I invest it now?

It’s funny people think we need 1 million to retire early when all you need is to lower your expenses and a few fun side hustle or passive income.
Some People think of early retirement as doing absolutely nothing when it’s just about doing what you want

Summary: Gabe talks about how he lived simply for a few years and now has more money. He only bought used cars and thinks he wasn't losing money on them. Like a lot of entrepreneurs, he underestimates the difficulty the average person has in starting a successful side hustle. Most people are not best served by starting side hustles. They're best served by sticking with salaried jobs and having a budget.

Retired at 55 several years ago, $1m in the bank. More time with my wife. 3-5 trips to the gym each week that I couldn’t do while working. Way less stress. More time for hobbies. Cycled 5, 000 miles my 1st year of retirement. Joined a golf league that work travel had prevented. Actually have seen our net worth INCREASE nearly each year in retirement, thanks to no debt and years of dedicated investing with my FA Abigail Ann Ryan who made me a million after giving her a sum of one hundred and eighty thousand to start. Now i'm able to help my elderly mom more. Way more time spent outdoors with my family. Life is good!

I reached $70k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and insights you've shared with me over the past few months. I began this journey in November 2024. Financial education is essential for over 70% of the population, as only a few are truly literate in this area.
Thanks so much Angie Chen Owens

Thanks man, your channel is one of the things that motivated me to become completely debt free including my mortgage and be in a position to at least work part time in my 30’s. Not complete financial freedom but better than most. Never made much more than minimum wage but just kept my expenses as low as possible.

Retiring comfortably in 2025 one would most likely need a combination of Social Security benefits, a retirement savings nest egg of around a million dollars and a sustainable income stream to cover monthly expenses depending on your lifestyle and location.

Thanks Gabe... one book I recommend everyone read this year is Limitless Drive. It’s a transformative guide to the mindset and habits that set the most successful apart. This book taught me how to break through limitations and think like the top 1%. Truly life-changing and a must-read!

Thank you, Gabe! I really wish I could go back and show this to 21 year old me. I think that multiple streams of income is the magic that young people need to understand. High savings (2 times what Dave tells you to build) and multiple income streams is like living in a city with walls. It take a lot more to get to you than most people.

Love the concept but at 30 and having 3 kids and a farm (which will be our forever home) we are a little behind on getting financial freedom. Honestly though I wouldn’t change our situation as far as being house poor as this is where we want to be, and the lifestyle we want as a family. Someday we will have no debt and a paid for house and it would have been worth it.

I doubt that Tesla will sell for what you paid for it. Batteries have to be replaced at some point on those which would probably have a negative effect on resale value.
