I’ve learned from my first pregnancy that it’s useless to worry, and to enjoy your pregnancy. I’ve had positive experiences and I try to enjoy being pregnant. Change your mindset to a positive one and control what you can, everything will be okay. Trust in God if you can’t be strong enough

My 1st labor was three days of laboring at home, painful contractions to get to 5 cm to be able to be admitted to labor and delivery, but once I was admited and got my epidural it went quick, I went from 5 to 6 by the time it took me to get up to a room, and then I slept a few hours and woke up ready to push at 9, pushed for 30 minutes and he was born.

I'm really hoping with my 2nd, I can get to 5cm faster and not be at home and miserable for days on end. hoping for a quicker time next time.

My second baby came in 4 hours so we thought it might be a good idea to induce #3 to make sure I was there in time. Ended up being a good plan since I went from 3cm and no noticeable contractions to baby in my arms in 15 minutes! Had I gone into labor at home, she probably would have arrived on my kitchen floor!

I had a traumatic birth with my first (40-50hrs) and I’m terrified about doing it again. I’m really hoping it’s quicker.

I did tons of PT after my first pregnancy, and have continued during this pregnancy. I think the increased core strength has actually caused me to show a lot later in this pregnancy. Also really hoping for less pushing! 2 hours last time which had to end in an episiotomy.

I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum both pregnancies but this second one is much worse and rely on 2 oral meds and a zophran pump. This second pregnancy I am soo much more sore in my pelvis. I'm really hoping the labor and delivery with this one is shorter. The first pregnancy I had horrible back labor.

I had Hyperemesis (HG) with my first and just found out were expecting our second. I'm excited but terrified. There's so little research about how likely it is to recur.

I laboured for just under 4 hours with my first, pushing for 3 hours 🙃 hoping this time around the pushing is a lot easier!!

In labor for 17.5 hours with my first(from when we got to the hospital) and pushed for 1hr 45min. Stubborn kiddo!

So I am curious how this second labor & delivery will go!

Hi Dr Marta,
Thank you for offering your educational information here. I am in the third trimester of my second pregnancy. I have placenta previa. I watched these videos of yours quite a few times, very informative. Could I please ask you a question, if I can still have a natrual birth can I have induction and epidural booked and start at the same time? Some people say I have to wait until I am 4cm dilated, I'm not sure why?

I went from 1cm to 10cm in a span of 3hrs and I only pushed twice before my daughter was born. 😅 I am pretty scared at how things might go the second time around. She was a tiny little thing at just 5.6 lbs so maybe if I have a bigger baby things will be different.

I am so scared last night I do a PT and turn out I was pregnant again. I told my husband and I wanted to cry. I am on my 9th month postpartum. Can I still breastfeed my child when my 2nd baby comes? And what are the other risks of close pregnany?

If I only breastfed a couple of days in my first pregnancy will it be hard for my 2nd child for me to produce milk because that was my problem and pain . The pain was stressing me out.
