A few points. First, PSTN is going away, if not already gone in many areas, so shouldn't be considered an option. Also, PSTN is not secure. With analog trunks, it's very easy to tap a call, if you have access to the wires. Even TDM PSTN can be tapped with the readily available test equipment that's used by the telecom companies. I used to use a test set from Exfo that could do that. I also used to work in a central office where one could often hear the calls for circuits that someone was working on. I even remember the analog days when it was very easy to monitor calls in the central office. You just had to plug into the circuit. I started working in telecom in 1972 and over the years, I have worked with analog, TDM, VoIP PBX and hosted PBX systems.

is it possible to make my own SIP Trunking Server with something like OpenSIP and connect it with my VoIP Server like asterisk and get it to be working and can call outbound?
