Sine wave RMS value - derivation (without calculus) | Alternating current | Physics | Khan Academy

To calculate RMS value of any function, we first square it, then find the mean value over some time period, and finally take the square root of it. Since sine and sin squared functions are both symmetrical about their centers, we can calculate their mean value without using calculus. Let's explore how.

Well sir, once my father and uncle used to say

Ask yourself why you are studying this concept and where you are gonna apply this in real life

You are the only one who understood how we all need to study sir

Solving 100 question in coaching class without understanding the concept is not worth until you understand the real science behind it

Your one video made me solve 100 questions instead of solving 100 questions without a clarity

Only some people can exist like this

These are the only people who can break barriers and teach the concept instead of stuffing someone's brain with formulas and derivations alone

The best explanation of RMS value. I always wondered what is the process to get RMS value. Thank you for letting me know.

Sure, your use of color was superbly masterful. I taught math for several years and always used it in my formulas and its can make things that much more apparent. Thank you, sir!

Hats down for you, though you could've just said it was 0.5 - 0.5*cos(2wt) and taken av of that, av of 0.5*cos(2wt) is zero and av of 0.5 is just 0.5, 0.5 - 0 = 0.5
