I remember that 980ti_>1080ti jump in 2017. I held onto my 1080ti until about a month or so ago when I found a 3080 12gb new in box on sale for ~$600, had to pick it up regardless of 4xxx performance. Glad I went with that decision considering the costs here.

Yup, this year is the year to upgrade from a current 1080 ti owner. My current rig has 2 1080 ti's in SLI.
Just bought a full-send Maingear Apex with a 4090 and 13900K. This year is the year!

Still rocking my Evga 1080ti…. Not buying a GPU that costs more than my whole system…. Nvidia smoking crack with their new pricing tiers.

I am ok with the 4090 price, it is just $100 more than 3090, my main issue is with 4080 and 4080(4070) prices, from what Nvidia showed in their presentation it is not much better while being much more expensive

1:13 This is what Jensen means when he says "Moore's Law Is Dead", the price for double the performance is dead.
He wants 3x the price, this is why "Moore's Law Is Dead" to Nvidia cause it limits their greedy profits... now you know.

Still have a 1080Ti and I'm not waiting for a $1200 replacement. These prices are enough to kick me out of the hobby completely.

Thanks for going right to productivity benchmarks. Helped a ton and honestly that's who these cards are for. Sure, there are the 1% of gamers who just want the beefiest of the beefy but this is going to do anything you want in any game out there so it's honestly a bit of a waste of y'all's time to bench games.

Loved seeing charts on blender, keyshot, Solidworks, premiere, etc.
