Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Friday that he is "open to dialogue."

Putin's remark came only one day after US Vice President Joe Biden indicated he was open to negotiate with Putin if he was sincerely serious in finding a path to stop the war.
"In fact, what did President Biden say?" Negotiations are only feasible when Putin leaves Ukraine, he stressed," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday. Russia would "certainly" refuse leaving Ukraine, according to the official.
"The special military operation," Peskov added, referring to Moscow's aggressive and unlawful invasion that began in February.
However, Biden, who has not talked directly to Putin since Russia started the invasion on February 24, has referred to Putin as a "butcher" who "cannot stay in power."
Moscow may claim that its "special military operation" is still underway, but it is not going as intended.
