Poseidon actually isn’t the bad guy here. Polyphemus (the cyclops) was harmed in a way he could never recover, so Poseidon spared Odysseus a chance to escape, telling Odysseus to say sorry. Odysseus, not wanting to be wrong, only justified his actions as “for the sake of good” and that’s not an apology. Poseidon has all the right to be angry at Odysseus, who brought himself into this issue by being cocky and telling his name and homeland. Hope this helps confused people in the Ocean Saga!! 😅

Tbh, out of all the royal gods, Poseidon is the closest with all of his kids. Zeus just leaves them to fend for themselves. Hades and Persephone care more about each other than their kids (even though they closely come second to Poseidon).
