When Dwight said by 2020 I remembered how old this tv show is.

Michael is actually a genius salesman. You get to see brief flashes throughout the series on how good he actually is, and he had to become regional manager somehow right?

I think that fluke line was the smartest thing Kevin said in this entire series. Wow.

That subtle nod from Creed at 8:20 is brilliant

I loved how Stanley straight up told Jim he wasn't a side character.

I dunno why, but is so satisfying seeing Michael being so smart.

Really enjoy the scene where Michael shows his skills in sales and people. He says everything so casually yet serious and even undermines Jan, refusing to let her speak. The writing for this sitcom is genuinely unmatched.

Michael negotiating with David while selling Michael Scott Paper Company is the most genius scene hands down.

9:24 I LOVE THAT MOMENT
Jan goes to speak up and Michael quickly signals her not to, just goes on to show how well he knows to pitch, when, how and whom to pitch it with. He calls Jan in later at the end when he knows he's got the client.
REGIONAL MANAGER FOR A REASON.

I love that at the end of the day, Michael is a legit salesman. Not because he can manipulate, because he believes

"Toby, is this your fun little way of congratulating us?"

Toby: *dies inside* Yes.

We forget because of his awkward, cringy, and sometimes annoying personality, but Michael Scott was put in the position of manager for a reason.

That fluke line from Kevin sent chills down my spine. So badass

Jan is a terrible salesman. Michael was trying to befriend the guy before trying to make his sales pitch. Jan was trying to spend the whole dinner talking business. Michael waited for the right moment to make his pitch.

Dwight: “By 2020 China will the worlds largest economy and they’re getting a taste at protein”

Coronavirus: well yes, but actually no

That look on Jan's face when she realizes Michael just got the County School District contract. It's a huge deal for Dunder Mifflin. And he nailed it because he was friendly and he related to them. Scranton is his home. And it's said several times throughout the show that Michael is the best salesman in the Scranton branch. Even better than Dwight.
She's just so happy that after all that he nailed it. She realized he knew what he was doing. He can be childish but he knows selling paper. He's passionate about it.

It's a shame they made her character nuts and ruined her. She was a good foil for Michael.
