Contra: Operation Galuga - Official Gameplay Trailer

Konami and renowned developer WayForward have dropped a new gameplay trailer for Contra: Operation Galuga, the latest in the legendary line of 2D action side-scrollers. This trailer shows off six of the playable heroes of the Earth Marine Corps, including Bill Rizer, Lance Bean, Ariana, Lucia, Lt. Stanley Ironside, and Probotector. Contra: Operation Galuga is due out in early 2024 for PC (via Steam), Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

Seeing Lucia come back is MASSIVE for me. My all time favorite Contra game in the series is Shattered Soldier. The bonus of seeing Probotector is the best callback to the European version of the game.

It's amazing that after all those years they still can't surpass the 1987 game, which plays amazingly to this day... but this one actually looks quite promising

The original Contra was so epic because it had the full package, visuals, gameplay and of course that amazing soundtrack track! Hopefully the soundtrack in this one is done well.

Like the nod to Probotector as that was what Contra was released as in my country. We never got to experience the original Contra until much later.
