When an earthquake strikes, you will hear a rumble, ding, and a bell toll. The bell will toll the number of times = to the earthquake which occurs. (example : M4.0 will ring 4 times).

The most recent earthquake has a green placemark / flag on it.

Blue flag / placemark = the last earthquake which was looked up

California does not need to split of from the US.
Nature will do it for them.

Glad that you uploaded this new video Dutch. I've been sharing the previous one FAR & WIDE here on You Tube via plenty of videos covering the evacuation. :)

great earthquake report- but need to add that the base of the dam IS STILL getting weakened/ eroded by gushing water as the right & left side of the main spillway is being overflown which means also the side/ base of the emergency spillway is getting soaked, That part can break away anytime. Live cameras show MASSES of water still gushing down on all sides

My children all live in Oroville and Chico so I'm especially anxious for them. I got them to pay attention to you though!

I get what you're saying how it might seem that you're being somewhat sensational by issuing an EQ watch for central Cali but you're doing the right thing Dutch.

I am currently here in Tahoe. Hwy 50 and Hwy 80 have been closed due to mudslides.

The blessing here, though, Dutch, is that over 140, 000 people have been evacuated from the area with the order for evacuation yesterday afternoon and early evening. So, all night long people have been getting moved out of the area. If a quake hits Oroville, potential danger to people has been greatly diminished. Whew! What are the odds?

In 1973ish, I lived 11 miles from the Oroville Dam. It was not too long after the completion of the dam. It was the first earth-filled dam and as everything was settling, a 6.4 earthquake was generated with the dam as its epicenter.

You have been a great teacher. As soon as you reduced those 5.0s eqs on this video, I said, "Shazam the Oroville dam is in the Silent Zone!"

Thanks Dutch! Wow is all I can say. I have been so worried for the folks in NorCal

People are still on evacuation alert, erosion at the dam is extensive, franticly shoring up with bags of rock before the storm surge, this is the tallest dam in the

p.s. Dave Hodges reported that Sacramento is in major danger and that anyone in that area should self-evacuate, despite governor saying nothing.

I just felt a quake here in Hawaii Kona, my bed was shaking me and the flood was slightly shaking as well. it was 2:20 a.m so I had to check EQ 3d and it only says we had a 2.1 and 2.5.

They changed the image of the spillway on google earth after your pointed out the anomaly where the hole opened up last night. On google earth it shows water over the spillway instead of it being dry now.
