I have been using Acronis for local full backups for many years. They have never, ever let me down. It simply works.

I love acronis (except) for a few issues. Yeah, I used windows 'reset this pc' last week and that crap took about an hour and 15 min. I go to my other computer to restore it and acronis can restore an even bigger chunk of my hard drive than on my other PC... in about 20 min. MS is soo lame haha!! I have been using acronis for YEARS my only issues with it are the new crap they added in like the security crap and having 14 processes running in the back ground when I CAD. Sometimes it's just better to keep things simple like acronis used to be. I have no idea how to shut off those processes off.... maybe that's what they wanted?

It's no 1 problem is resource usage. It really slows down your computer.

Agree. Acronis 2021 is great on the basic level and their cloud service is far too expensive. They need to give users the ability to back up to a cloud service of their choice. No different than choosing a hard drive in my opinion.

After watching several of your videos and checking out a bit more about all these things, I think Acronis is the one that ticks all my boxes... except for the price one.
I want to backup my computer to the cloud and ditch the physical hard drives. Once a month would be even ok for me.
Apart from that I wanna free some space in my computer, since I have maaany video files that I probably won't need again, but I just can't get rid of haha. For that I would like some cloud storage.

So the result would be backing up to the cloud a 1TB computer + having 500GB-1TB of storage (cloud drive).

So far I think Acronis is the only provider that could offer everything at once, right?

As other options I see paying for 2 different services like backblaze + pcloud to do everything with separate apps, or keep using external hard drives to archive some files and back those up along with the whole computer with backblaze.

What do you think?

I've been running Acronis 2019 (no annual fee). Was thinking of going to the 2020 or 2021 version, but it looks like those now require annual subscriptions, is that correct? If so, I'll keep my 2019 version unless there is a large enough reason to update to v2020 or v2021.
