More progress. Keep at it. Regarding the interior note that everything that is black (dash, center console, armrests, etc) is actually vinyl. The only leather are the door cards and seats. The forward console you got was from a much later car when they came in leather. Using vinyl will not only be more correct but save you a bunch of money over buying hides. Also when you re-install the suspension arms ALWAYS torque them wit the suspension fully loaded. If you do it under droop the bushings will tear and fail pre-maturely. This is a very common oversight on a 308 even by the most seasoned mechanic.

I've had the Energy Suspension inserts in mine for 2 years at this point. No noise yet. And, I used the same ball joint clamp on mine for removal, lol.

Lou I know this video is 2 years old I too have a 1985 Qv 308 in better condition. I would have media blasted then Cerakote H series has lots of colors and is used on guns, It has a huge heat range adds very little weight you would only apply a very thin coat. I am enjoying your step by step restoration though thanks.

Great video. Was that a Mac Tool ball joint press? Also did you apply a whisper of grease to the bush before winding it in? I have to do this job soon on my TVR and am working on what’s the best approach without a shop press.
