This is madness! Theres no contest between the L1 compact and the evox. I own both and they both have quality sound, but this is like comparing a mouse to an elephant... the evox has a 1400 watt peak at 128db and the bose has nothing like that kind of power. In my experience, the bose is great until you put a hot signal thru it... its then that your sound quality suffers and you have to think on your feet. Ive never had clipping issues with the evox8 and liked the sound enough to buy a second one. Daft comparison guys... sorry to be negative.

was looking in to EV50m, boseL1-16, and rcf.. and I guess I'm considering RCF e-J8, due to built in mixer, expandability, bluetooth app, portability and price.

You should compare evox vs bose l1 model 1 or 2 with b1 or b2 subs... For me, bose have better sonud than evox and vertus, better angle and distance dispersion, and better sub tone(i have l1 model 1 with two b2 subs...).

Loud hi fi system :) I am using bose for 4 years and I love that tone...

Cheers guys :)

Clearly Bose! Although it is weaker in performance than the RCF system, it provides the better sound.

I went into the store to buy the Bose - my mind was made up - until I saw the Rcf Evox 8 beside it. So we tested them side by side - no comparison. The Rcf beats it in every respect - sound quality and build quality. The Bose felt fragile beside the Rcf. For a few quid more you get a much better system

It doesn't matter how much base you've got if you don't have clear mids and crisp highs. So bose is the winner here, but it lacks little bit of bass.

bose good for midrange VOICE, RCF GOOD FOR BASE....
if come with a additional subwoofer, bose will be better in full range

They are both clear but the RCF is more boomy is kinda annoying if using it for wedding. When you talk and socialize the bass gets in the way. The Bose is clear but is lacking the bass. I guess both are winners if you have a mixer and play with the EQ. For a dance party I would definitely go for the RCF. That is why DJ use different speakers for a particular event.

I knew the great BOSE era, the 802, the made in the USA, really fabulous and legendary. Here it breathes, it stinks of made in china. Research done, BOSE does not have a factory in China, it is all under contract and really too much expensive compared to the cost of labor. In addition sound side ... it is not JBL (the brand of musicians for more than 50 years) brand at the origin of this bass cabinet + column configuration (JBL EON one / pro), a concept copied by everyone lacking creativity. About RCF its a very great brand and they do a small system so muche better than BOSE.

To use Bose L1 C outdoors?
Only 130 watts RMS. There is no basis for comparison.
The two systems are not alternatives to each other.
The RCF 1400watt is not the L1 C that should compete. Nonsense especially outdoors.

Rcf gagnant mais Bose pour une petite structure
