Personally I always loved the m/1942 paratrooper uniform... although that might just be the way the Band of Brothers cast absolutely nailed the look.

My Dad's tiger strip uniform is my favorite. His Army time was crazy. He was in a Nike Ajax battery at Bliss. Bliss was even emptier in the 60s. The only way out was to volunteer to be an MP in the XVIII Airborne Corps. A few years after he got out, my Dad and the guy he left Bliss with joined the Florida National Guard's SF team. I think that's where the tiger stripes came from.

For the historian in me, the WWI doughboy uniform tells me that they were fielded on short notice, starting as a blend of British and French styles before becoming uniquely American in style by the war's end.

On the Army subreddit, most of the folks who enlisted at the time have nostalgia for the BDUs, despite the uniform in question not exactly being used overseas (except maybe for Panama and Kosovo). Having been a kid at the time, I remember seeing the impact the pattern had on culture while the Army was lying to itself over the magnificence of the then-newly introduced UCP.

And finally, the cavalry uniforms of Teddy Roosevelt's rough riders.

Special mention goes to the DCUs of the early 2000s. The chocolate chips have their place but for function's sake less was more.

Tiger Stripe is objectively the best uniform of all time. I also love the Spanish War uniforms with the blue pockets.

Personally I like the Chockie Chips not only because of the pattern but also because Westwood Studios used it for the GDI uniforms in the live-action briefing videos. As for mustaches. gotta go with Robin Olds. The man, the Phantom, dat stache.

The Navy's dungarees are hella overlooked. Classic, fits the old sailor mentality, and DAMN fine with the ole Dixie Cup

Spats are rad. I'm sure theres a reason we don't use them anymore (I've never worn any) but they sure looked good on the uniform.

Should've used the Civil War dress uniform, as most western armies had it in the field anyway.
