An addition to the fur hat of the royal guards: The hats are made of bear-skin/fur and its function, historically, was to scare horses thus being a major advantage when encountering cavalry. I served in the danish Guard Hussar Regiment Mounted Squadron (on horseback), and we too in Denmark has the Royal Life Guard that looks very similar to the Queen's Guard in Britain. When we did environmental training with the horses there could be all sorts of obstacles and different stimuli that the horses handled with easy. But we did have a Royal Life Guards hat, and when someone on the ground put that on, well, sometimes all hell broke loose. And in any case the horses ALWAYS responded to the fact that the hat was just present. Maybe the smell of bear?

Man... Why couldn't I have been in the Army when all this is coming out!?? I need to try one of those suits that make you hundreds times strong, just higher etc. Smh that is just unbelievable, especially the underwear of the uniform that hardens in a split second and can tighten if there is blood loss or broken limbs!
