Flexor digitorum brevis motor point needling

One interesting thing I learned in dissections is that flexor digitorum brevis and the plantar fascia are welded together. The strength of the connection of muscles to adjacent fascia varies greatly. The FDB and plantar fascia are so closely glued together that they have to be scraped apart. The PF doesn’t glide over the FDB, it moves with it. When the FDB contracts, the PF contracts. So when treating the sole of the foot and specifically the plantar fascia, think about this connection. Treating the FDB motor point is a great way to treat plantar fasciitis along with other techniques. It also opens up the kidney/bladder channel connection.
