I think this game is a classic "if you like this genre of game, you'll love it; but if you don't, you won't" kinda thing. A lot of the negative reviews I've read just made me think "I think you just don't like the genre, not the game itself", which is a fair thing, but you gotta be able to recognize and point that out if you're a professional reviewer.

I mean, it looks exactly like what a polished Banjo-Kazooie 2017 would be, which is what they were going for.

I am glad that you are enjoying the game and I hope that you can understand that while this may have been nearly exactly what you were hoping for many others were hoping to recapture the way they felt while playing the games from their childhood rather than play a game that is actually like the ones from their childhood but with a more modern coat of paint. Though this is by no means the type of game I would personally enjoy I really think that it is almost exactly what the creators set out to create and what the people on Kickstarter funded.
