Three minutes of very early Yooka-Laylee gameplay (Hands-on Impressions)

Whilst visiting Playtonic Games this week, we nabbed some "pre-alpha" Yooka-Laylee gameplay. It's more of a prototype than anything, but might give you an idea of what to expect of the characters themselves.

I think a Chameleon and Bat is a brilliant combo. So simple yet genius. Playing a reptile again? It reminds me of the Gex and Croc days. I absolutely love it.

If Microsoft allowed Rare to make these kinds of games for the past 15 years then maybe they could have made a shit load of money. But nope, they lost out. Good riddance too, this deserves to be enjoyed on every platform.

It makes you wonder what Microsoft were thinking. The funding for this has gone insane so these guys will be rolling in it by the time the kickstarter ends, This might go above 2 million.

I'm 27...old school gamer of the golden n64 age...and i am proud of these developers for leaving rare and for still creating good stuff from what was left of those great games.I look forward to play this but i must write/swy these final words: "R.I.P Banjo-Kazooie". We'll miss you guys :')

I'm really glad that they've been doing so well on Kickstarter. This looks amazing for such an early presentation and I hope that this will become a great new platformer for the next/current generation. A really promising start...

I remember when pre-alpha games barely resembled anything besides a jumble of sprites, models, and prototypical stuff that was changed come beta. This looks like would have been months of development but it's pre-alpha. I wonder how many differences the final product will have. I always love learning about beta games

I played Banjo-Kazooie once too long ago to remember it properly, so I don't have any nostalgia for these guys' games, but I am still really excited about this. Look at it! It's adorable!
