I don’t understand your reasoning Grace…this is not a straight adaptation of the comics…this is a continuation of the animated series, which was its own thing

You keep dressing like this, Grace, and you're gonna get yourself attacked by a Sentinel

I think a fast-paced story like this is infinitely better than a slow, boring story like The Bad Batch's. One of the big problems that Disney shows in general currently have is that they don't have enough story to fill their runtime, and so far X-Men '97 has thoroughly avoided falling into that trap.

This is the most marvel comics feeling content that Disney has ever created. I'll die on that hill.

I do love how this show gave Madylne some dignity and didn't completly trew her under the bus like the comics. Here she's not a woman gone crazy by a break up who tries to sacrifice her own baby to demons. Instead she helps Scott save Nathan. And i love that it was Jean who reaches out and got trough her and gave her some closure. In the end Madelyne leaves on her own terms to live Her life

This is the best episode of X-Men 97 as we got references to Poltergeist, Evil Dead, The Grudge & The Ring plus Madelyne Pryor transformation into The Goblin Queen is pure perfection for Animation!

I don’t feel like we’re being rushed, I just don’t feel like we’re going as slow as a comic book. I like that we get the most out of an episode with their powers. The focus was clearly Jean and Maddie and they gave us that.

I feel like this could have been 2 episodes but I appreciate that they kept it simple and tied it up at the end.

Anyone else notice we are getting one "Sugah!" per episode. No more, no less

this show was A++ ... to make Sinister finally as menacing as he appeared in the comics was chef's kiss and the Goblin Queen arc tribute was masterfully done here. this show is killin it

Jean has been my favorite X-Men ever since I first experienced the Phoenix storyline on the original 90s show! Couple that with my love of horror and I can honestly say this is now my all-time favorite episode… loved every second!! 🔥

I personally think that for a show that will only be around 8-10 episodes long this pace is just perfect, too many Disney plus shows in the past had us feeling like nothing was happening until around ep 4 and the the last two were super rushed trying to get the story all wrapped up.

As someone who doesn’t know very much about the X-men, I love this show. I don’t think it’s moving too fast. It’s a marvelous show so far.

The reason Jean was cloned in the comics was because she was "dead" after the dark Phoenix saga and sinister still wanted the offspring. In this show there's not really a reason for why Sinister clones Jean other than its Mr Sinister.

1. Re: Tony and Forge. The biggest difference is that Tony builds things with his genius intellect, so he understands what he builds and why it works. Sometimes, Forge doesn't. He knows *how* to build things, but because he's building it based on how his mutant power is telling him to, he doesn't always understand how his creations work. That's the advantage of geniuses like Tony, Reed, and Riri over Forge.
2. Team Jean all the way. I loved it when Emma and Tony got married.
3. I hope they do the Storm Forge "relationship " really well, because that "relationship" was quite abusive and stockholm-y in the comics. Forge did NOT come out of that looking good.

Elephant in the room: Madeline Pryor wasn’t originally Jean’s clone in the comic, she was just a Jean lookalike. Jean was dead at the time after the events of the Dark Phoenix storyline, so Scott had moved on, married Madeline and had baby Nathan. When they retconned it so Jean was alive and never was Phoenix, they had to find a way to get Scott and her back together. So Madeline was turned into her evil clone. 😂

Bishop and baby Nathen can still meet Rachel in the future, they simply needed an establish time traveling character to make the trip to the future. They don't have much time to waste with new characters so Bishop was chosen instead.
And they would've never had the time to adapt the Cyclops and Phoenix miniseries.
Maybe they'll find a creative way to do it anyway, who knows..
Remember, Cable does know who his parents are in the original series.
Only time will tell.

Spicy Grace in the morning is my caffeine. Lol. The Maddie line is hilarious.
