I was raised in an abusive home. My biggest escape was my imagination...and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. For the length of one episode, I was in the Banks home, away from the screaming and the decay of constant hatred. Will Smith, you have no idea how much of a difference that made in my life. It taught me optimism and strength. Eventually, I got the strength to get out. I'm not saying Fresh Prince is the sole reason, but holy crap did it play a huge part. Many of my memories are blacked out. But I remember every Fresh Prince episode. I'll always be a fan of Will Smith.

To see that even one of the strongest people in the world has had a moment or two of weakness or despair, helps give the rest of us average people some room to accept our own, and not hate ourselves for it. Mad love and respect.

I’ve always loved Will’s movies and his acting abilities. And, whenever I’ve seen him on talk shows, he comes across as a really super lovely guy.
