It's obvious, Red Kayn overpowers Blue.
Assassins destroys squishies well. But bruisers are naturally better than assassins, due to their low defences. Assassin's can only defeat bruisers by bursting them down, which is extremely unlikely. Assassins stand no chance against someone with 3, 5k+ hp and 200+ armour in fair 1v1 fight.

Just pointing something out for future INVESTIGATORS.

You should pick your transformation based on the compositions of your team and the enemies. If youre 5-0 in 3 minutes with already ready blue transformation, you should definitely go for blue kayn for its a lot higher mobility and snowball potential. However red kayn is a lot better when your team already has 1 or 2 damage carries but need a good frontline with some solid dps and cc.

However if youre unsure, I always recommed red kayn over blue because if you happen to get behind as blue theres pretty much no coming back, much like evelynn who is just awful to play from behind but is an absolute beast once she has a lead. As red kayn (with dh always nowadays) you will still deal very good damage while being tanky and really hard to kill. Kayn doesnt have a real escape in many scenarios except for flash, so once you get locked down as blue kayn its over. However as red kayn you will most likely not be focused, or if you are your teams damage carries can do the rest. Low cd knock-up with great self-heal is also very great in team fights, plus even when fed as red kayn you will be a major threat and will be able to 1v1 pretty much any squishy carry as long as you hit your abilities.

This is the reason why blue kayn is very rarely seen in higher elo.

So in conclusion; prioritize red kayn over blue unless smurfing in significantly lower elo than your actual elo. Blue snowballs harder but is harder to play against good players as well.

breh I just wonder everytime about "no limitations" yet the blue boye still keep catching the red boye airborne when he can easily dodge it, also no healing from E? how is that no limitations when you don't stretch every ability to the fullest and not just catch every skillshot

Hello, past Kayn main here. S.A kayn is not a crit builder. He gets the most out of his set by building lethality, as that passive is better for burst. Not to mention he prefers to jump in from a place where he cannot be seen, duskblade procs are still strong on him. Darkin in a cc, tank that is practically immortal with all his spell vamp if he’s built like that.
