rx 6600 is a great used gpu right now. If you can find a reasonably priced b550 board, and a ryzen 3600, you can run it at full pcie gen 4 speeds which can give it a nice boost to fps in some games

I've seen 3700x go for about $100 quite a few times, so it's not that far fetched 👍

Lol did the samething with the gpu when did my first pc build 11 months ago. I didnt unplug it tho and just used my small racoon like hands to plug in the front panel power and usb 3. Your videos are awesome would love to see more uploads. Your videos have inspired me to buy some cheap older parts and make a server.

Great video, not my personal choice of case for the money and I definitely think you could get the cost down to £400/$450 here in the UK. There’s some insane deals on m.2 SSD’s at the moment around £40 for a 1TB! The functional cable management is ace as well 🤩 who cares nobody going to see it 😉

Fun Fact: This would also make an excellent Linux system...

Its crazy that the first processor I bought (and the one I'm still using) was a ryzen 3 1300x.

I have a build very similar to this. The only difference is that every part (minus the graphics card) I bought new in 2018. Ryzen 7 2700X with 16gb of RAM on an X470 motherboard. Got the RX 6650 XT last year and it's still playing every game I like very well. Also have upgraded to 32 GB of RAM. Maybe I'll upgrade to the 5700X3D or 5950X at some point.

Highly recommend the rx580 8gb card paired with an r5 1600x.

Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, Minecraft, it didn’t care what I threw at it, as long as it was 1080p and I turned some settings down (turn shadows down first) I got 60fps in most games.

It even ran switch and Wii U emulators with better texture mods and draw distance mods fine, as well as every other console besides the Xbox line, and ps3 or 4.

Seriously, the non top tier parts are still perfectly capable, and hold good value.

And now you can get a 5600x for at or around $100. Looking forward to building a rig around that... let's say the ol' FX 6300 machine sitting in my office isn't getting used much anymore these days, definitely feeling that FX pain.

Good for you on saving money. I'd rather jump off a ladder than haggle with another human.
