FARTHEST Space Object I EVER Captured with my BACKYARD Telescope #shorts

I took this picture of the whirlpool galaxy (M51) in February 2021 with my backyard telescope. It's amazing that we can capture faint little galaxies that are hundreds of millions of lightyears away from our own backyard with just a backyard telescope.

Clear skies!

I really like it when people pay attention to the small and very distant objects they have captured while capturing something else

That is amazingly distant! It’s great that you not only captured these much fainter galaxies on one image but you also went to the trouble of identifying them as well. Great job 👍

Sad truth is that you’re not actually looking at the galaxies themselves, instead it’s the remaining light from them as all galaxies except for andromeda have left reach

Well done Wido, I had been looking at some of my previous images, and identified two galaxies NGC7479-GA and NGC7479-GB, after doing some digging, I found a research paper that states they are 1.56 AND 1.63 Billion light years away. I posted a picture on my twitter. Space is awesome! Need to see what else I can identify.

Yes, when you see stars it means you see their past, we don't know how things are on their footing at their present time

what is amazing to me is that many of these galaxies might have been destroyed a million years ago

Sometimes we focus at things that are so far away only to realize that what were searching for is right beside us

I wonder if someone else is looking at our galaxy from one of those galaxies he captured

Place a telescope in your backyard and voila, you've your very own time machine! Unfortunately, before I can enjoy my time machine. I need some very clever person, to invent a Dutch cloud dispersal unit 🔭🤣.

One day, god willing, i can finally afford a telescope. Wanted one since a child. One day, hopefully i can attain this goal. It might come off as pathetic, but for me its exciting to even think about having one. Great catch and all the best!

Amazing!
But I don't know anything yet about these bigger backyard telescopes.
How do they calculate the light years? ... Amazing!👍

Wow! It's mind-blowing when you think about it. 🌌💖

There could be someone from that galaxy looking at our galaxy and saying "Woah! That's more than 600M light years ahead!" and we'd never know :(

Wonderful channel. Wonderful coverage. Glad i found U, myself just getting i digress...question. why doesn't anybody cover tripods? I hear about the best mounts...etc...but they aren't going to work with the flimsy tripod shipped with the Celestron 8SE?

When I see such stuff, I wonder how capable the rare minerals found on those stars and planets can be

But what are all the other stars/lights that we can see?? I have alot of questions..
