Sena 20S Quick Review

A quick review of the new Sena 20S wireless bluetooth headset for motorocycles.

Thank you. I know they are experiencing some bugs (usually fixed by a firmware upgrade - which is the great part about Sena) here and there with the unit. But by far this is the best unit I have ever owned. It's worth it. I hope to add more reviews. I used the 20S in conjunction with their new GoPro Audio Pack for this video. Another great product. No wires! Luv it.

Dan... the SENA is great 2 years later. I have about three units...in addition to the 10C and 10U. At top speeds it can be a little difficult to communicate at times... However at top speeds everyone is usually pretty quiet regardless. I have been on at least four multi day treks with multiple riders running the 20S with no major issues. I've never used the Cardo so I don't know how it stacks up ... But I know a couple riders that do and judging by some of the complaints it seems the 20S is superior. I would say it's worth the investment considering all the things the 20S does and connects to. It works really well with the SENA GoPro backpack and the prism. Take a look at a video my company produced for the prism on The SENA channel called Advancing Adventure part 1. We had multiple riders with about 15 prisms and shot over the period of two weeks. I think you will be happy if you make the switch...one thing that is imperative is to stay up to date on the firmware. Best to u.

Thanks for making this vid, man. I'm trying to figure out what set up I'm going to get, and I had no idea the 20s had the external mic mode. That would definitely be useful. Side note; I don't know how you feel about personal security, but I don't think it'd be that hard to figure out exactly where you work since you basically showed us how to get there. All it'd take is you saying what city you live in or someone recognizing a landmark. But that's up to you.

i would maybe suggest putting the camera on the other side of the helmet so that the sena is not obstructing the cameras view. unless you were deliberately trying to show it off for the review

2 years on, how you finding the Sena? I'm currently running the Cardo Scala Rider G9 but TBH I'm finding it hard going and the sound between two units is poor – I have to shout to be heard by my buddy and likewise. I'm looking at getting the unit purely to integrate it with my GoPro Hero 4 via the Bluetooth rather than having to use 2 separate mics; 1 from my gopro and the other from my Scala, of which I'm finding I get feedback on the audo for the camera.

Wow.  Apparently you are allowed to split lanes in CA?  I read that it is legal.  I live in Ohio and I think it is illegal here.  Not that I care about legalities but I'm always worried that I'll piss soeonem off and they will open their door or turn into me or something.  Ever split semi trucks on the highway?  Now that sets riders apart!  I just ordered one of those Sena 20's.  Pretty stoked.  Thanks for the video.  Oh, and do people still get pissed off at you for lane splitting even though it is legal?

Hey. I've never understood the system. So you have a camera and you have headset. How can you get video and microphone sound together?
