I hope the first launch is close to 120 mph and at least 100mph from a stand still. I would love for Cedar Point and Cedar Fair to work with intamin again because I love launch coasters.

I am thinking the footer for a 500 foot spike will take a long time to cure. So they may be rushing to pour a footer, and then construction will drastically slow down for a while. The footer for the current tower was poured a year ahead of the rest of the construction.

tbh I don't know how I feel about the roll back idea. definitely would love to see it opened in early 2023 because that's when ill be going back. What you said about them spending millions to reimagine it sounds about right. They are going to do everything in their power to make this one of the best rides at the park no doubt

Things are starting to get interesting with the future of Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point

I think a guaranteed rollback would be cool but it’s just not the same as getting a rare rollback

The track design on TTD (square) was the old gen Intamin track, the current gen (triangle/V-shape) track on Red Force could be used IF they have chosen to work with Intamin again. It would also make the transition to LSM much easier.

I kind of doubt a swing launch system on the reimagined dragster because doing so would require a significant slowdown in terms a dispatch times. The current version of dragster is able to pipeline 2 coasters into load & begin the next launch process as the previous train is entering the brake run. The addition of a transfer track into the swing launch as well as the increased ride duration would plummet ride capacity. They could not even start reseting the transfer track until after the ride has hit the brake run after the top hat with a swing launch.

In the current configuration dragster is reseting for the next launch the second the coaster starts up the tower & simply has to roll the next train forward a bit into the pre primed launch mechanism. A swing launch would probably nearly double cycle time which is almost certainly a non-starter for a park with the kind of attendance ceader point gets.

I'm hoping you get some of your predictions right, would love the design you guys came up with. I've swayed from wanting Intamin, hearing s&s rumors and mack rumors, to people wanting RMC. I'm not sure what I truly believe will happen, but we'd love to see that spike and a little longer experience especially with a bunny hill on the launch or something. That's my hope but will take reliability over anything! Excited to see what happens with it, my guesses now Mack because of the CF relationship, or possibly Cedar Point working directly with the LSM company and having someone else manufacture track.. These thoughts will change in a month lol, looking forward to more breakdowns from you!

As I commented on El Toro Ryan's vid - I strongly believe it is Intamin choosing not to work with Cedar Point, not the other way around. This ride has turned into a legal nightmare, it is the smart business on Intamin's end to cut ties with it. They have nothing to gain from continued connection with the ride.

I know someone that works for fedex and they have been delivering large crates from Mack for months.

Removing TTD from cedar points skyline feels like removing the empire state building from the NYC skyline 😢

S&S has renovated roller coasters in the past, they took out over half the track of buzz saw falls and turned it into a amazing compressed air launch coaster and used some of its track still

Having a 460 vertical spike would be amazing especially if it would be a tribute to wicked twister. I would love if this could be the new top thrill dragster and getting a roll back every time. I love this prediction and I hope it will become a reality.

Love your vision for TFD, don’t care who they work with to make this come true! CP is overdue for something exciting!

I was there last weekend, and as I was walking by dragster, I could hear a lot of bigger pieces of steel being cut off with a sawsall. I couldn’t see what parts they were cutting off, but you can see that they cut out the whole launch system and about 95% of the brake fins. That was last weekend though, who knows how much they have gotten done since then.

I totally agree with 2023 - Seeing that huge staging area outside the park for that little spinner makes me think that they will be shipping coaster track for the new ttd pretty soon plus they said in the wild mouse announcement that it will be their „18“ coaster assuming ttd will be open in 2023 as well 🤔

I love this idea. I hope they do it all. Air time hill on the launch to the Roll back into a giant spike then back over into an inverted top hat! That would be ridiculous. This idea seemingly would solve the majority of the downtime issues as well.
