Hundreds of people flock to the Elkmont Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to view the synchronous fireflies. -- including a wildlife photographer that's made capturing images of the bugs his life's work.

The beetles blink in unison for a few nights ever year, a spectacle that draws people from around the world.
